Hi! Beginner here and I might want to know whether anyone here had serious pelvic agonies after fizzled ivf? I have been taking Tylenol additional quality and Advil liquigels in the wake of getting a negative pregnancy result first seven day stretch of January. I completed a FET in December, yet since I was taking estradiol and utilizing progesterone suppositories ive Been in so much torment particularly when AF came 2 days in the wake of getting negative pregnancy result (which was 2 weeks back). I am seeing my GP one week from now however I would need to know whether this torment is even typical and whats causing it, and will it ever leave? Ive been taking otc painmeds very nearly 8 out of multi day to make sure I could go to work.

Hi Amy,

Using the medicines for the FET shouldn't cause you pain so what you're telling isn't normal. Sometimes after the transfer itself you could feel cramping off and on for a few days but it wouldn't be severe. It sounds like AF has been gone for over a week and you're still having severe pain/cramping, so it's good you're going to be visiting your GP about it.

Have you mentioned the pain to your clinic? If you haven't, you should give the nurses a call and see what they have to say.

Do you think you could have endometriosis? It can cause severe pain in some cases and it isn't always diagnosed right away

Thank you very much Editor!

I had terrible pains like this during stimulation before egg retrieval. I think my body just could not handle the hormones. I do have fibroids which my gynecologist had surgically removed back in December 2016 but 2 months later my pelvic pains came back (went to the emergency 2x due to pains and they said its fibroids again new ones). My fertility doctor had to hold off stimulation because of it. She had me go for MRI and she said everything was all fine, went for colposcopy as well it was also normal, fibroids were too small they said to cause pain so gyno put me on fibristal for 2 months which helped. But once the prep for FET began (was on bc pills for 2 weeks prior)
all sort of crazy pains started again. You are probably right, it could be endometriosis. I do not know what are the exact symptoms but at least now I know this is not normal especially since I am not even bleeding to have cramps. I am going to ask my GP for a referral for an MRI to be sure or a hormone specialist consult because I seem to have too much estrogen. Thanks again! I really needed to know that this is not normal, Ive been reading other forums and women usually have cramps but not the same as I am having.

Could you have ovarian cysts rupturing? I've had an ovarian cyst rupture and it was very painful and the pain lasted for weeks. I went to the ER multiple times and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Finally I got a transvaginal ultrasound and they saw all the fluid from the ruptured cyst. I'm always paranoid when taking fertility meds that I will get one and it will be stimulated by the meds and grow really large and rupture.
