Biography:

Gynecologist Assisted Reproduction He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1995. From 1995 to 2003 he trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Great Britain, attending the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ course. From 1999 he worked as a Specialist Registrar (National Rotational Scheme) based in NE England, attending the Newcastle (Northern Deanery) Obstetrics and Gynaecology course. Dr. Christophoridis trained in endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological disorders, particularly those of menstruation, endometrial adhesions, endometrial polyps and fibromyomas. In 1999 he joined the Evidence Based Medicine Forum at South Tyneside District General Hospital and participated in the compilation of clinical instructions for the medical and nursing staff of the Department of Obstetrics. In 2000 he received his Diploma from the Faculty of Family Planning of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In 2001 he became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is a highly acclaimed, internationally recognised organisation with a long tradition in safeguarding high specifications for the clinical practice of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and promoting research and medical knowledge among Specialist Registrars. From 2001 to 2003 Dr. Christophoridis specialised in assisted reproduction, and particularly in in vitro fertilisation, at London’s Hammersmith Hospital, where he acquired a wealth of experience in investigating and treating subfertile couples. The unit of in vitro fertilisation at Hammersmith Hospital is one of the major IVF units in Great Britain, with a long tradition in clinical and laboratory research into human reproduction. Hammersmith Hospital is where the first successful pre-implantation genetic diagnosis was performed. Mr. Christophoridis is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction (ESHRE) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Since 2004 he has been the Director of the Medical Department at EMBRYOLAB.

She started practicing in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2008.
